Carol Varano

B.A. in Education with a minor in Mathematics, Bucknell University
M.S. in College Student Personnel, Miami University - Oxford, Ohio

Carol Varano joined the University of Memphis staff in August of 2005 to serve as Academic Intern in the Center for Athletic Academic Services. In June of 2006, she was hired as the Athletic Academic Counselor for the men’s soccer, men’s and women’s golf, and men's and women's track teams. Carol serves as an instructor for ACAD 1100: Introduction to the University. Prior to joining the University of Memphis staff, Carol served as an intern while in graduate school in Student-Athlete Academic Support Services at Miami University where her interest in athletic academic services began. Carol is also a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A).

Originally from Pennsylvania, Carol enjoys watching all types of sports competitions, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite television show is the hit reality series “Survivor”.
